this site will live on emeraldolds.glados.pro and will not be updated anymore and new news will be at emeraldnews and also one more bug is probably not a bug but that mobile SUCKS at this site
emeraldnews is going to have a full rewrite from scratch from the beginning. why? the codebase is a spaghetti mess everywhere, profiles dont work, css is broken and text colors are in the wrong color, and everything feels clunky! and 20% of it is made by codex
bugs in this version of emeraldnews:
1. news backward compatibility - the news recently updated to HTML instead of plain text to support. but in the process all the other news's old formatting style (plain text) broke and its very ugly to see
2. comments - comments dont work anymore and i have no idea why.
3. the source code - the source code was originally taken from the old roblox source code and i revamped it to become emeraldnews.
4. theres alot more i do not want to type.

A:the new site wont probably come up until like end of the year and i have to make news stull

okay since i didnt update this since like 2024 (a long time ago) so here a HUGE list:
--removed rendering (it sucked anyway)
--improved site performance
--removed unnecessary files.
--maybe moving to another provider?
--fixed logo from glados to emeraldnews (reason: becuase i didnt like the name "glados" its too glados branded and i wanted to have a 6 emerald vibe!!!)
--added google login!!!
--removed forums searching, home and profile! (to improve site performance and it was broken and useless!)
--redesigned site layout (in profile and profile of user, commentary and browse.php!) to be compatible with the missing renders
--experimenting with site design, some stuff will be BROKEN ya..
--more news!!! also btw we HIT NEWS 100 lETS GOO!!!
--added games page to play the daxton branded flappy bird game!
--discontinued brainrot leaderboard, reason in brainrot leaderboard.
--maybe more i will put here...
--added upvoting like reddit (the upvote button in the news page duh)
--made an absent list to the news and semi absent like if somebody got like stomach pain during the middle of the day of the school then you leave its called semi absent or somehting what ever you call it...
--halted brainrot leaderboard because too many people are saying brainrot stuff
--removed warning section to the comment section since i dont think yall are THAT crazy...
--removed C.D since it was too personal...
uhh if you are having issues reading news on mobile, select the news's text or body or what ever, then you copy all of it and paste it on a notes app or a notepad thing, second method is using a computer
